In his early twenties, Koral is a young man who has seen nothing of the outside world. His home town, Choral Village, is the only place he's ever known. Born in it's surroundings and brought up by parent's instrumental to its creation, his dream was to one day replace his father as leader, and carry on its legacy. That dream died, however, the day he killed a man. Now wildly philosophical, his mind rests only in the presence of his great friend, Zade, with whom he shares a deep spiritual bond.

A deep thinker and a worrier, Koral has a side to him that can only be explained as inhuman: he is impassive and uncaring to those who fail to capture his heart, and he judges harshly the weaknesses of man. Because of this critical nature, he is burdened always by a sense of responsibility, and from this springs an uncompromising integrity.
